Wayne Phelan Pleased About Much Needed Help for Seniors

September 27, 2019

Conservative Party of Canada has announced the Age Credit to help seniors who have and continue to do so much for our communities.

Today, the Conservative Party of Canada has announced the Age Credit to help seniors who have and continue to do so much for our communities. This is part of the Conservative plan to put more money in the pockets of all Canadians helping to reduce their cost of living.

Increasing the Age Credit by $1,000 will benefit seniors with low or medium incomes most. This tax relief is on top of:

• the Universal Tax Cut, which includes pension earnings.
• taking the GST off home heating bills;
• making maternity benefits tax-free;
• introducing the Children’s Fitness Tax Credit;
• introducing the Children’s Arts and Learning Tax Credit;
• introducing the Green Public Transit Tax Credit;

As I stated yesterday, putting an end to the billions of dollars being given away to wealthy corporations for things like new fridges, will assist with the funding for well needed tax relief programs.
